the trouble with backrounds

so i finished koloring the cover of my comik today. it was kind of a pain figuring out what to put in the backround with out deluding the characters. this is what i ended up with thanks to one of my heros, Masami Ohbari. his Gowcaizer vol. 2 box cover helped me figure out what ta do. i love stealing oops! i mean referencing.

Hey Dan, that looks pretty kick ass. I personally don't know if that blue is right for the background though. So many of your charcters have cool tones in them. If you want them to pop out of the bg a little more, I might consider a different color. But that's just me.

Try making a couple of these drawing with different colour shemes. Make like 3 one with blue , black/grey, yellow/orange or some different colours. It helps a lot to see the differents colour makes. Then post all of them up so we can see it. Have your fan club vote! Can you make the main character (the hottie girl in front) larger and in the center? I want to know she's the center character!
